Mitsubishi Electric offer a niche range of High Voltage Controller IC’s.
HVIC (High Voltage IC) is a high voltage IC that directly drives gates using input signals from a microcomputer. It replaces power MOSFET and IGBT gate drivers that use pulse transformers and photocouplers. It is insulated by a level shift circuit inside the semiconductor chip. Since various protection functions (protection against undervoltage of power supply, interlock function, input signal filter function, error output function) are built into the IC, a device's reliability can be enhanced. The lineup includes numerous half-bridge type of products that are commonly seen in drive circuits.
